Illustrated Poetry’s mission is to ignite a feeling of independence in expression. Through exploration of Zen’s philosophy on language, and New York School I began to question our ability to proper expression with verbal communication and straight-forward delivery.
By creating 12 paintings, music record, video animation, and sculpture - I expressed through visual language, trying to communicate and evoke a strong feeling and indirect conversation between me and the audience.
I connected different mediums (it’s a deliberate choice to adopt a medium which perfectly illustrates ones life journey) to show how people can express their feelings without trying to explain them, as we can feel so much but when communicating verbally we can only keep our expression within the bounds of a conversation.
